Federal Debt as a Percent of GDP
By JLP | July 13, 2010
I saw this chart on Professor John Haslem’s website and thought I’d share it (click on the graphic to go to Professor Haslem’s site):

I first learned about Professor Haslem from Larry Swedroe who sent me an email about a book titled, Mutual Funds: Portfolio Structures, Analysis, Management, and Stewardship (Robert W. Kolb Series)*, that Prof. Haslem was working on. I received a copy of the book awhile back. As you can probably guess from the title, it’s fairly academic. It’s almost like an encyclopedia (or text book) on mutual funds. I must warn you though, it’s rather expensive compared to other investment books. However, the way it is written, it’s almost like several shorter books in one volume. Larry Swedroe wrote a couple of chapters, William Bernstein wrote one, and John Bogle wrote two.
Professor Haslem also publishes a series of 30 Seconds Outlooks, which are quick little posts about various finance topics. Pretty interesting.
