I don’t think the iPhone 5 is much better than the iPhone 4s, which wasn’t much better than the iPhone 4.

In the Android world, the competition is fierce and is pushing the software and the technology farther and faster.
Apple does not have an incentive to improve the iPhone because of the lack of competition within it’s walled garden. Apple fans are loyal and will continue to purchase Apple products even though the improvements are very small. This has always been the Achilles Heel of Apple’s business model.
